Sea view farmhouse on the Etruscan Coast
“Among rolling hills and olive groves and a few minutes from the sea where everything is gentle around, everything is old and new.”
It came back to life after years of neglect, following a “love at first sight” by the current owners due to its enchanting position and the characteristic Tuscan rusticity.
A life project that began with the renovation of the house and the adjacent agricultural annex, and then went on to take care of the countryside with the planting of 1000 olive trees, up to the construction of two agricultural annexes that completed a “small village” in the countryside of the Val by Cornia.
Every detail has been finished in the name of the tradition of the place but also of love for the environment and beauty. Nothing is left to chance, but rather the result of an Ideal that they have chosen, wanted and realized.
The view, and with it the mind, can range from the sea to the hills, from wheat fields to woods, from the islands of the archipelago to Monte Amiata.
Lights and colors that blend in a silence interrupted only by the music of cicadas or birds.
Between Suvereto and Campiglia Marittima, the Podere is located in a hilly position in the typical Tuscan countryside. Halfway between these two characteristic medieval villages of the Etruscan Coast, it enjoys a panoramic view that extends, facing the sea, from the Argentario to the island of Elba. Looking at the hills, the view sweeps from Monterotondo to Massa Marittima, while the plain of Val di Cornia extends at its feet, from Riotorto to Venturina.
A quarter of an hour from the sea, the San Vincenzo beaches and the Gulf of Baratti, half an hour from Bolgheri and “his” Sassicaia, it is located in one of the most accredited municipalities for the production of wine. Here the architect Mario Botta found a way to express his creativity with the Petra winery, visible from La Sassaia, and the Tua Rita winery designed and built the award-winning Redigaffi.
Today a farm, it has 20 hectares of land among olive trees, woods and Mediterranean scrub. The 1000 olive trees are of the best known and renowned varieties of Tuscany: Leccino, Moraiolo and Frantoio, as well as others unknown to most such as Cuoricino, Morcone or Lazzero di Prata, local varieties and no longer cultivated that the property wanted to plant for to safeguard its history and memory.
Surrounding the agricultural activity, the farmhouse, consisting of five accommodations: four two-room apartments and a studio apartment that each year host Italian, German, Austrian and Swiss tourists in search of peace and relaxation.
No wild overbuilding, but corners of nature where you can stop, contemplate, read and of course enjoy a mocha coffee or taste a glass of wine.
Characteristics of the main house of about 200 square meters in total:
The main body of the property opens onto a living room with fireplace and dining room capable of welcoming diners and friends. The rustic bricks that form the floor convey warmth and familiarity. The large kitchen, also with a fireplace, reveals the characteristics of those who love to spend time in the kitchen. The ceilings in chestnut beams and bricks recall the essence of Tuscany. The ground floor is completed by a pantry, a laundry room and a service bathroom. On the first floor in the sleeping area 3 bedrooms (two of which doubles) and 2 large bathrooms (one with bath and shower).
The Podere is completed by:
• A large plastered agricultural annex of about 200 square meters, with office area, oil storage and bathroom
• 2 agricultural outbuildings in stone, one of 45 square meters and one of 90 square meters, used as a farmhouse (3 two-room apartments) for a total of about 135 square meters
• 1 studio apartment (about 35 m2) and 1 two-room apartment (about 50 m2) in the main building
• Photovoltaic panels that make the farm independent from the point of view of electricity
• 2 technical rooms
• 7 covered parking spaces
• External lighting systems
Today you too have the opportunity to appreciate all this and whether it is for a day or forever … if you too have this dream, today you can make it come true!

Suvereto
It is considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, located between the hills and the shining sea of the Etruscan Coast. Immersed in the green Val di Cornia, the town is a real treasure chest: its walls preserve treasures made from characteristic medieval streets, stone houses, historic buildings and evocative churches. All around endless woods of chestnuts, oaks and, of course, corks, hence the name of the place.
Immersed in the scents of the Mediterranean scrub, Suvereto is a village rich in art and history, which stands out for its pleasant views and its preserved soul of a quiet and restful place.
Thanks to the flourishing countryside that surrounds it, the farms produce a wonderful oil and a wine so characteristic that it has obtained the DOCG designation. In fact, the Wine Route also passes through these hills, a route that allows you to know, step by step, the places where this drink acquires all its formidable notes. So tied to the land and to tradition, Suvereto was the town of crafts that today are rare pearls: blacksmiths, cork makers, carpenters, charcoal burners and straw makers worked here. Fortunately, some skilled artisans survive proudly and dot the village with typical shops.
In this area, nature is also the protagonist, as evidenced by the Montioni Natural Park, an area of about 7,000 hectares in which wild boar, roe deer, fallow deer and porcupines live among the Mediterranean scrub and dense oaks.
